Head to the Comcast Center for this next Kids in Center City Playdate sponsored by the Center City District. Families will enjoy live performance by Music Monkey Jungle (starting at 12 Noon), a live music and educational movement class for little monkeys and the parents who love them, as well as kid-friendly activities and crafts. The Philadelphia Magic Gardens holds its 4th annual ArtGage summer festival from 12 Noon to 10 pm this Saturday July 30th at the Philadelphia Magic Gardens located at 1020 South Street. Enjoy music, dance, poetry, interactive activities, and live art. The Street Fair from 12 Noon – 6pm is free and open to the public. Music performances from 1pm- 10pm are $10/adult for a day or night ticket, $6 for kids 4+ and up. All day passes $15, day family package $25. BYOB. Take the kiddos down to the Northern Liberties Third Annual 2nd Street Festival this Sunday July 31st from Noon till 10pm to enjoy beer gardens, workshops, art, food and merchandise vendors. Plus enjoy four music and event stages with musical programming by the Philadelphia Folksong Society. The stage at Fairmount will feature kid’s performances and workshops with Cat’s Pajamas, Philly School of Rock, Krista Parrish and Electric Man. Plus take part in a special puppet- and mask-making workshop with Ramshackle Enterprises, who will lead a 2nd street parade with puppeteers and musicians, too. Free.
Kids will be delighted with this Firefly Hunt sponsored by the Bucks County Audubon Society Visitors Center this Saturday July 30th at 7:30pm. Kids can use nets and bug containers to catch fireflies and then enjoy a campfire with s’mores to complete the evening. $15 per family.
Enjoy the family program at the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Summer Family Studio this Sunday July 31st from 10am – 3pm. Animals in Art is this week’s theme and families can create, learn and have fun together in the family studio. Free with paid admission.
Join Founding Father Ben Franklin for his 5th Birthday Celebration this Sunday July 31st at 11am at Franklin Square.
