The weather got wonderful and the flowers are in bloom – both on the ground and at the Philadelphia International Flower Show! This Saturday March 10th is the Great Narberth Leprechaun Hunt from 1-4pm featuring 10 lucky leprechauns hidden throughout downtown Narberth. Bring the kids for an afternoon of fun searching for leprechauns. Begin your hunt at the corner of Haverford and Forrest Ave to receive your map and a black pot of gold. When children find a leprechaun, they get another gold chocolate coin for their pot! Upon collecting all ten gold coins, kids can return to the for their prize – a shiny US coin. Free.
Enjoy free admission to the Brandywine River Museum on Sunday March 11th from 9:30am – 12 Noon. Bring the whole family to the beautiful museum featuring classic American art in a 19th-century grist mill. Free on Sunday mornings.
Media’s Linvilla Orchards is running its Christmas Tree Maze using over a thousand unsold trees to create the world’s largest Christmas Tree Maze for everyone to enjoy. $5 per person.
This Children’s Music Festival at St. Peter’s Church on Saturday March 10th at 10am will feature kid-friendly music, fun and more all to benefit Rubye’s Kids, a Phila. area non-profit children’s organization. Festival is especially geared for ages 2-7. Tickets $8 per person or 4 for $25.
These 2 hour art classes for kids take place every Sunday through March 11th from 1- 3 pm at the Absecon Light House. Kids enjoy local artists, performers, and crafters on hand to teach their craft and encourage kids to make their own art culminating with an art show for students to display their work. $15 per class, materials included. This Saturday March 10th at 11am marks the 3rd Kids Corner Music Festival at the Union Transfer in Philadelphia. Families can groove along to Rolie Polie Guacamole, The Fuzzy Lemons, Roy Handy and the Moonshot, and more. Plus enjoy make and take crafts, yummy kid friendly food (for additional cost), and free balloon animal sculptures. Music starts at 11am. Doors open at 10:30am. Tickets $8.

Sunday March 11th is the last weekend of the renowned Philadelphia International Flower Show “Hawaii: Islands of Aloha”. Be transported to Hawaii as you experience projections of crashing waves and pass under a display of more than 2,000 orchids upon entering this year’s flower show. Plus enjoy stunning floral displays, juried flower arranging competitions, hula and live dancing and vendors selling flower and garden related merchandise. For the kids, there is much to do on closing weekend including enjoying a visit with Chica from Sprout, a special storytime reading of The Lorax read by WXPN Kids Corner host Kathy O’Connell at 2pm and just unwinding in the Family Lounge with special activities and crafts for the little ones. The Philadelphia Youth Ballet presents its first annual Spring Concert on Sunday March 11th at 2:30pm at the Christ Church Neighborhood House. Families will enjoy classical and contemporary dance from this new youth ballet company. Tickets $15.
