It’s a busy last weekend of September in Philly to say the least! Whether you’re heading to the World Meeting of Families or post meeting Festival and Mass or trying to avoiding the crowds, there is plenty to do in and around the city this weekend!

Be a part of the papal parade and papal mass in Philadelphia on Sunday September 27th. Papal mass on the Ben Franklin Parkway starting at 4pm. Parade to take place prior to the mass.
Don’t miss Museum Day Live! this weekend happening Saturday Sept 26th with free admission to participating museums for up to two people with tickets. Check website for participating museums in Philadelphia and the region. And be sure to check the museum’s website to make sure they’re not closed or have modified hours/parking because of the Pope’s visit.
It’s the return of Hayrides to Pumpkinland at the beautiful Linvilla Orchards in Media PA this Friday September 25th – Sunday September 27th. Pick out your perfect pumpkin from over 100 tons of pumpkin choices on display. Take a ride on a hayride or a run through the corn maze and enjoy all the fall fun to be had for families. Free admission. Some attractions ticketed.
In celebration of Molly, the Cherry Hill Public Library’s newest addition to the American Girl Doll lending collection, head out for a viewing of the Molly movie and to learn about life on the home front in the 1940s this Saturday September 26th from 3-4:40pm. Parents and American Girl Dolls welcome! Free.
Head to historic Smithville this weekend for the annual Italian Festival happening Saturday September 26th. Enjoy live music, great food, 50/50 chances, bocce, wine tastings, Italian folk dancing and lots more. Plus kids can take part in great children’s activities including face painting, tattoos, air bounce and more. Free. Some events ticketed.
If you’re looking for a day trip (or even a weekend getaway) to escape from the city this weekend, head to the Irish Fall Festival this weekend for the largest Irish Festival on the east coast happening in Wildwood, NJ Friday Sept. 25th – Sunday Sept. 27th. The Irish Fall Festival highlight Irish heritage with a weekend of dancing, music, food, vendors, crafts and more. Plus enjoy a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, pipe exhibit, Catholic Mass and a parade on Surf Ave, too. Free.
Enjoy free admission to the beautiful Brandywine River Museum of Art on Sunday mornings including this Sunday September 27th between 9:30am – 12pm. Free until 12 Noon.
Celebrate Native American Day at the Norristown Farm Park this Sunday September 27th from 10am – 3pm with demos and displays of Lenape culture including jewelry, clothing, food, and more. Plus take part in traditional games and crafts, too. Free.
