Enjoy the final days of the Philadelphia International Children’s Festival happening Friday May 8th and Saturday May 9th at the Annenberg Center Live in Philadelphia. This annual festival features live theatre, dance, and music performances for all ages plus a an outdoor Kids Fun Zone and other great fun! Tickets $10.
Kids can enjoy practicing their Spanish at Fiesta Day happening at the Please Touch Museum this Saturday May 9th from 9am – 5pm. Children can enjoy bilingual story times, themed crafts as well as grooving to family friend musica from Andres Salguero at the Fiesta de Baile! Dance party, too! Free with museum admission. Head to SMITH Memorial Playground on Saturday May 9th for the annual Love Your Park Day from 10am – 2pm. Enjoy the chance to help make SMITH Playground clean, green and beautiful. Free.
Kids are introduced to the vibrant world of musical theatre at the PNC Grow Up Great Free at the Kimmel event taking place Saturday May 9th at 11am. Guest artists will perform songs from famous musicals so kids can sing along and explore their theatrical creativity too! Free.
The 12th Annual Spring Art Star Craft Bazaar takes place this Saturday May 9th and Sunday May 10th. Don’t miss over 150 local and national artists showing their wares at Penn’s Landing Great Plaza along the Delaware River and enjoy some family fun including hands on craft demonstrations and make and takes, live music, food vendors, family photo booth (Sunday only), and even some games and raffles too! The Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia presents a Jurassic Park Movie Marathon on Saturday May 9th from 10am – 5pm in honor of the upcoming release of the fourth in the Jurassic Park series plus a super fun Dinosaur Dance party too! Museum admission $15.95/adults, $13.95 kids ages 3-12.
The Camden Children’s Garden hosts a fun weekend of butterflies, birds and cinco de Mayo with special activities from 1-4pm this Saturday May 9th and Sunday May 10th. Don’t miss a focus on the live butterflies inside the Philadelphia Eagles Four Seasons Butterfly House and a celebration of the return of the Monarchs from Mexico along with a colorful traditional Mexican Cinco de Mayo festival too! $6 per person. 2 and under free.
The 47th Annual St. Denis Fun Fair kicks off this weekend running Friday May 8th – Saturday May 9th. This community fun fair benefitting St. Denis Parish and Cardinal John Foley School has something for the whole family with food, rides, games, outdoor DJ, indoor casino, live music, beer garden and more! Fair entrance is free. Rides and games ticketed.
The Art of the Brick continues this weekend running Friday May 8th through Sunday May 10th at The Franklin Institute. The display of LEGO brick masterpieces explores the intersection of art and science and will delight builders and LEGO fans of all ages. Tickets $24-$29 and does not include museum admission.
