The Spruce Street Harbor Park Blue Cross RiverRink continues this weekend May 29th – May 31st open 11am – 11pm. Families can enjoy fun and food on the river as well as the new outdoor roller skating rink featuring roller skates and in-line skates for rent! Free admission. $3 skating, $10 skates rental.
Don’t miss the final weekend of the oldest and largest indoor multi-breed horse competition in the US with the Devon Horse Show running this weekend May 29th – May 31st. In addition to the horse show, families will enjoy the country fair with games, rides, over 40 shops, great food and more. All proceeds benefit Bryn Mawr Hospital. Tickets $5 for children, $10 for adults, ages 2 and younger free.
Philly won the prize of hosting the free TLC Summer Block Party (thanks to local mom, Lisa Miller from Pennypack, PA!) this Saturday May 30th at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing! Join TLC and favorite TLC show personalities for music, food, games, kids zone, on-stage activities and more. TLC is partnering with Feeding America as part of this block party event to help provide meals to people in need at a local and national level. Free.
Welcome summer at the free Share Your Summer Festival happening at NEST Philly this Saturday May 30th from 10am – 1pm. This free day of fun for families of children ages 6 and under will include summer themed fun crafts and activities as well as love music from Nest’s house band “The Hoots” and great food from Garces Trading Company, Knead Bagels and more! It’s the return of the 40th Street Summer Series in West Philadelphia kicking off Saturday May 30th at 6pm featuring Tapestry Tribal and The Bearded Ladies. This free summer concert series captures the soul of the neighborhood and offers a fun, free, community event for all. Free.
The Animal Grossology exhibit continues this weekend at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. Kids of all ages will be amused and educated with this fun exhibit highlighting the slimiest, stinkiest, and yuckiest creatures on earth! Exhibit entrance is $5.00 in addition to museum admission $15.95/adults, $13.95 kids ages 3-12.
The Art of the Brick continues this weekend running Friday May 29th through Sunday May 31st at The Franklin Institute. The display of LEGO brick masterpieces explores the intersection of art and science and will delight builders and LEGO fans of all ages. Tickets $24-$29 and does not include museum admission.

Head to Cherry Hill this Sunday May 31st from 2-5pm for the Philly Art Center’s Grand Opening Party at the new Cherry Hill location! Kids will get to make crafts, create their own art including screen printing, painting, pottery, plus face painting, Mummers and lots more fun for all! There will even be a special “baby zone” with music and creative play for the littlest guest, too. as well as enjoy the official ribbon cutting ceremony at 3pm. Free.
