Time for a road trip! Head to Tuckerton Seaport this weekend for the fantastic fun at “Truck”erton Food Truck & Brew Festival! This two day festival features gourmet food trucks from along the east coast as well as live music and craft brews at the Beer Garden with some of New Jersey’s best beers and the Garden State’s Valenzano Winery with local wines for purchase, too. And the kids will enjoy the access to the Seaport’s 40 acres of family fun including maritime activities, live animals, a boardwalk, mini golf and more! Children get introduced to the world of musical theater at PNCs Grow Up Great this Saturday August 15th starting at 11am with classic and brand-new songs along side guest artists performing songs from Rodgers & Hammerstein to Porter and Gershwin and more. Free.
The 21st Annual Festival of India is taking place Saturday August 15th starting at 1pm on the Delaware River at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing. The festival celebrates India’s Independence Day and showcases the vibrant Indian-American community in Philadelphia with art, music, dance, food and fun! Free.
Summer at The Oval continues this weekend Aug 14th – 16th. Don’t miss the hottest spot for fun in Philly with food trucks, entertainment, kids activities and more. On Saturday August 15th enjoy soccer fun and foodtrucks. Then on Sunday August 16h don’t miss lots of kids fun including free facepainting, the Library tech mobile, music class with All Around this World music, Philly Hoop Starz and a family friendly Philly dance party, too. The fun on the river continues this weekend at Spruce Street Harbor Park Blue Cross River Rink August 14th – 16th open 11am – 11pm. Families can enjoy fun and food on the river as well as the new outdoor roller skating rink featuring roller skates and in-line skates for rent! Free admission. $3 skating, $10 skates rental.
The Animal Grossology exhibit continues this weekend at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. Kids of all ages will be amused and educated with this fun exhibit highlighting the slimiest, stinkiest, and yuckiest creatures on earth! Exhibit entrance is $5.00 in addition to museum admission $15.95/adults, $13.95 kids ages 3-12.
The Art of the Brick continues this weekend running Friday August 14th – Sunday August 16th at The Franklin Institute. The display of LEGO brick artistic masterpieces explores the intersection of art and science and will delight builders and LEGO fans of all ages.
