I don’t know about you guys but I am beyond desperate for anything that remotely reminds me of spring right now. With the next alleged ‘noreaster on its way, I’m so disgusted with that groundhog I could scream. But thankfully here are two great local Philly area events that you and your kiddos can enjoy that are sure to have you thinking spring.
Terrariums with Terrain is happening this Saturday March 9th at The Market and Shops at Comcast Center from 11am – 2pm and will allow you and your little one to create beautiful indoor verdant terrariums with the help of Terrain horticultural experts. At 11am join for a mommy and me workshop then at 1pm participate in an Open Workshop. Reservations are required. Cost is $40 per person or parent/child pair. Cost includes instruction, glass vessel, potting materials, and two plants. Additional vessels, plants, and accessories will be available for purchase. The Philadelphia Flower Show runs through Sunday March 10th and there is much to do for the little ones while you get to inhale fresh flowers and dream about your brilliant garden displays. Check out the Sprout Snack happening this Sunday March 10th from 3:45 – 5:00pm at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Enjoy an interactive afternoon with the Bernstein Bears including a Sprout snack, family photos and even a goody bag. Plus, there is lots to do for the little ones with the PHS Kids Zone powered by Sprout so the kids can cut loose. Tickets to the 2013 Philadelphia Flower Show are $27 for adults and $15 for ages 2-16. Children under 2 are free.
