The Great Pumpkin Carve in Chaddsford PA is an annual tradition that takes place this year on Thursday, October 25th, Friday October 25th, and Saturday October 27th from 5 to 9 p.m. Come out on Thursday as more than 60 local artists carve huge pumpkins. The pumpkins are native pumpkins, grown by SIW vegetables of Chadds Ford. They weigh between 150 and 400 pounds. Most of them are of the variety “Prize-Winner,” a drought resistant pumpkin that tends to be bright orange. There are also a few “Atlantic Giants” which tend to be paler and sometimes a less regular shape.
The pumpkins will be lit and displayed on Friday and Saturday. All three nights, enjoy great food provided by Concordville-Chadds Ford Rotary, live music, hayrides and a chance to win a raffle item.
Admission is $5 for adults 18 and older; $3 for children ages 7 to 17; ages 6 and under are FREE.
Chaddsford Historical Society members are FREE with membership card. The Great Pumpkin Carve takes place on the grounds of the Chadds Ford Historical Society located at 1736 North Creek Rd in Chadds Ford.
