It’s a beautiful day to get out and enjoy Science in the Garden with the Franklin Institute at the PHS Pop Up Garden located at 20th and Market Street today Wednesday August 10th from 12:30-2:30pm. Today’s Topic is Brain Healthy in the Garden: Does brain food actually exist? What would an exercise machine for a brain look like? Come visit the garden and learn how fresh healthy food and exercise can help make your brain “strong!” Get thinking with fun, interactive, scientific demonstrations about your noggin!
And at the Penn Museum today the Summer Wonder series continues from 10:30am – 11:30 am with Piccirillio Sciencetellers. Piccirillio Sciencetellers presents Dragons and Dreams. Learn about the science of fire and ice through a tale of Dragons & Dreams using experiments of flash paper, exploding bottles, “cool” dry ice, and much more. With castles, kings, a dragon keeper, an Ice Sorceress, the Horn of Fire, two villagers, and a daring journey to save the entire kingdom, enjoy this spectacular adventure as you’re swept away to a world where dragons are real, dreams come true, and only the most daring of people will survive to tell the tale! Penn’s Summer Wonder celebrates cultural diversity through 8 weeks’ worth of performance art and interactive demonstrations. Summer Wonder is free with museum admission donation and runs Wednesday mornings from 10:30am – 11:30am.
