Don’t miss the Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show & Country Fair happening this Saturday September 5th through Monday September 7th. This all-ages fair and event will showcase over 500 horses and ponies competing in several events over the Labor Day holiday weekend. Festival also includes games, rides, and food for purchase available at the country fair.
Bank of America again is sponsoring Museums on Us with free entry to many of the region’s best museums on the first weekend of each month including this weekend this Saturday September 5th and Sunday September 6th for valid Bank of America cardholders. Select participating museums from the region include African American Museum, National Constitution Center, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Allentown Art Museum, Garden State Discovery Museum, Wheaton Arts & Cultural Center, Noyes Museum of Art, Delaware Art Museum, Delaware Museum of Natural History, and Winterthur. On Friday September 4th and Saturday September 5th enjoy Star Wars themed fun and events as The Force Awakenes merchandise is released in stores. Kids of all ages can check out the new Star Wars merchandise and toys as well as take part in epic celebrations and fun. Check local store events calendar for details. Free.
Head to historic Franklin Square this holiday weekend Saturday September 5th – Monday Sunday September 7th from 12Noon – 3pm for the Labor Day Celebration and end of summer celebration. Enjoy the Lightening Bolt Express Train, Parx Liberty carousel, Center City Philly’s only mini-golf and more! Free entrance. Train, carousel, and mini-golf ticketed.
There’s plenty of family fun to be had on the river this weekend at Spruce Street Harbor Park and Blue Cross River Rink Labor Day Weekend Picnic happening Friday September 4th – Sunday September 6th. Families can enjoy fun and food on the river as well as outdoor roller skating rink featuring roller skates and in-line skates for rent! Free admission. $3 skating, $10 skates rental.
The Art of the Brick continues this weekend running Friday September 4th – Monday September 7th at The Franklin Institute. The display of LEGO brick artistic masterpieces explores the intersection of art and science and will delight builders and LEGO fans of all ages. Tickets $24-$29 and does not include museum admission.
