I’m delighted to introduce our newest guest Philly mamma, Xandra O’Neill, whose is the founder of Womb To World Wellness coaching. Xandra and I met at a kids event down at Nest Philly and we got to talking about toxins in the environment and the home and how to create healthier living spaces for moms, dads and families. Xandra is offering a fantastic 3 week course through Main Line School Night this October that makes it super easy to learn how to reduce and eliminate toxins in the home. If you’ve ever wanted to learn more or finally take the plunge to be rid of these nasty chemicals once and for all look no further!!
There’s something happening in October and it’s just for you. It’s going to change the way you see the world, it’s going to empower you to create a healthier environment for your family, and it’s going to give you the opportunity to get out of the house for a few nights and take control in a new and exciting way.
We all strive to be the best moms we can be. We try to be more patient, we try to keep our children happy, and we do what we can to provide a healthy environment for them.
There is so much information and so much judgment that we endure every day that it can feel frustrating and overwhelming to know what we can do, what’s actually important, and how we can do these things without feeling stressed and ready to give up trying.
One topic that arises often these days is that of toxins. What’s in our food, what’s in our products, what’s in the air around us – there are toxins lurking everywhere. I’m here to tell you that it’s actually an area where you can gain control pretty easily. I will say this – it is a lifestyle change. Whether you go all in and make all the changes you can or you are just ready to dip your toes in the water, it’s hard to look back once you’ve begun this journey to healthier living with a serious reduction of toxins.
But it’s oh so empowering.
When you make choices from a place of knowing the consequences, knowing what the implications are for your family, and knowing that you are deciding what is best for your family in the moment, it opens you up to so much. It opens you up to be a stronger woman, a powerful role model, and a teacher of balance and important decision-making. Those lessons, beyond what the reduction of toxins can do for your family, are priceless.
If I came over to your house right now, I would probably find a home full of toxic products. I would also be able to show you what you can use instead, how you can make these shifts feel easy instead of stressful, and why these changes will benefit you and your family in the long run, financially as well as healthfully.
This was my home too about 5 years ago. Here’s what inspired me to change, how I did it, and what was missing….
Not much inspires us to take action more than our kids and that’s exactly where my journey to reduce toxins began – with my desire to have a baby.
Long before my husband and I were ready to start a family, I knew deep within that I wanted to be a mama. Can you relate? One of the most empowering things I have ever done in my life was to start learning and taking control where I could so that I was able to create the best first home for my baby.
I worked at a bookstore at the time, so I had easy access to information, and I sought out the books that resonated most with me. One of the most powerful books I read at the time was The Complete Organic Pregnancy because it opened my eyes to a whole new way of seeing my world. I discovered that most of the products I was using on a daily basis were actually pretty toxic and could be contributing factors to infertility, pregnancy and birth complications and disease later down the road for my family and me. No thanks!! What I learned in the book, and my desire to prepare myself for my future pregnancy pushed me into action.
This was easy because all I had to do was find new products and ditch the old ones (that’s a funny story, which you’ll have a chance to hear). It really can be that simple; it was for me. But here’s the thing – even because something can be simple doesn’t always mean that it is. It can be overwhelming. Believe me, I took in a lot of information that I didn’t need to know in order to make some seriously healthy changes when it came to toxins in my environment. My curiosity and drive for knowledge keeps me learning a lot about this topic, but you don’t need to get overwhelmed and burdened by too much information! There’s a better way.
I’ve taken what I know, what I wish I’d known, and what I didn’t need to know and created a class to help you feel empowered and in control when it comes to toxins and your family’s health.
Household Toxins: Understand and Control Them is a 3 week course where you’ll learn all about bringing awareness to what you have in your home now, taking action where it’s most important, and having accountability to make these changes feel easy to commit to for the long term. I’ll also be sharing that story about what happened in my bathroom when I was ready to ditch the toxic products (I really wish I had a photo because it’s pretty hilarious).
We all want to have fun with our families, and stress and overwhelm often get in the way. Wouldn’t it be great if you could ditch those feelings, along with the physical toxins, and create more space for fun, health, and relaxation with your family?
Believe me, the feeling of being an empowered mom in a world that often leaves us feeling frazzled is a feeling that we all can and absolutely deserve to have. You can learn more about what these 3 weeks will look like and what the impact will be for you and your family by clicking here.
I hope to see you soon!
