Everyone is welcome to join in the fun at these FREE educational and fun-filled science extravaganzas sponsored by Target. Experience The Franklin Institute’s famous exhibitions, special programs, and themed activities. Target Community Nights are from 5:00PM-8:00PM, on the third Wednesday of the month unless otherwise specified. Admission is free and there is no need to pre-register. Doors open at 5:00PM. Family Fun at the Philadelphia Folk Festival

The 53rd annual Philadelphia Folk Festival, the longest running music festival of its kind in the entire country, takes place starting tomorrow August 14th – Sunday August 17th. Head to Schwenksville, Pennsylvania this weekend to catch great performers, vendors and artists and enjoy some family fun with the kids too.

In addition to the great acts on several stages for the adults there will be day-long family fun at Dulcimer Grove with the Give and Take Jugglers, kids creations and crafts, live performances and more! And on Sunday August 17th the Folk Festival welcomes WXPN Kids Corner starting at 12 Noon.

It’s the last weekend of July (how did THAT happen??) and there is much fun to be had in and around Philly this weekend. Kids and parents alike can enjoy Philly’s new music fest Kidchella or head to the classic WXPN music fest, plus take part in a Storybook Celebration at the Camden Children’s Garden, and have fun while raising money for families affected by cancer at the Adopt a Pig Change Reaction Picnic at the Camden Riversharks Game, too!
