I don’t know about you guys but I always feel motivated to clean and organize after the holidays in the New Year. And I have always had a bit of a thing for floor cleaners. In fact, I’m slightly obsessed with them. I LOVE me a good floor cleaner, vacuum steam cleaner, mop – anything that promises to make my floors clean finally and doesn’t involve me on my hands and knees washing the floors with a bucket and rag is the right floor cleaner for me!
So I’m particularly delighted to have had the opportunity to try out the Bona Mop recently. Bona makes a whole family of floor cleaners to “simplify your life.” I was lucky to get to try out a Bona system of my choice. I picked the Bona Stone, Tile, and Laminate mop because my kitchen floor is stone and my living room floor is laminate so it seemed like this was the best mop for me.
The mop came in three parts and was pretty easy to assemble. (I do have to admit that I struggled a little getting the cleaning solution to click into the mop right and I had to ask my husband to help me with that part. But it was an easy fix and once the solution was clicked in I was ready to try it out.)
‘The first thing I noticed about the Bona was how large and wide the mop base and pad cleaning surface was. This was a much larger surface area for cleaning than other mops and seemed to really clean surfaces quicker. I also really liked the length of the handle as it meant I wasn’t leaning over trying to clean so much. I used the Bona mop on my kitchen and laminate floors and it cleaned them beautifully. I was very pleased with how nicely the Bona mop head moved and the pad picked up such a wide swath of the floor.
The cleaning solution from Bona was very nice too. It had no odor at all and cleaned the floor very well. And it’s got a refillable cartridge so you can just refill when it runs out. The Bona cleaning solution cleans safely and effectively without leaving any residue behind which is great since other cleaners sometimes leave a dull finish on floors. The mop’s cleaning pad is a great microfiber pad that easily attaches to the Bona mop and comes off for a quick wash to be ready for the next time. I like this aspect of the system because it feels a lot less wasteful than other mops with throwaway pads.
All in all I really am enjoying the Bona Mop and it has become my “go-to” floor mop now. And now one lucky phillyfun4kids reader can try the Bona Mop out, too!
